The RIFE HN07 is a high-capacity floor-standing smart cabinet for hospitals that manage large quantities of fentanyl, narcotics and other controlled medicines.

It incorporates eight RFID-monitored drawers, electronic access control, transaction-linked recording and a central management platform. With stated capacity for more than 5,000 vials, the HN07 is intended for central pharmacy departments, large operating theatre complexes and controlled-drug storage hubs.

Every RFID-tagged vial entering or leaving the cabinet can be recorded automatically, helping pharmacy teams maintain live inventory and a searchable electronic audit trail.

Product Overview

The HN07 is the largest cabinet in the range and is designed for locations where a substantial controlled-drug inventory is maintained.

Each drawer acts as a separately monitored RFID zone. The cabinet periodically scans the drawer contents and communicates inventory events to the management software.

The system can support workflows covering medicine intake, dispensing, return, wastage, residue recovery, reconciliation and audit reporting.

Its large-capacity design makes the HN07 suitable as a central controlled-drug repository serving multiple wards, operating rooms or clinical departments.

Key Features

Eight independently monitored drawers

Each drawer incorporates a dedicated RFID antenna for detecting tagged medicines within that drawer.

High-capacity controlled-drug storage

The cabinet is specified for more than 5,000 vials, although actual capacity will depend on vial dimensions, packaging format, drawer configuration, separation requirements, medicine categories, and internal trays or dividers.

Live pharmacy inventory

The platform can provide visibility of total medicine quantity, quantity by drug, quantity by concentration, batch-level inventory, expiry status, drawer-level inventory, medicine movement history, and user transaction history.

High-security authentication

The system can support controlled access through facial recognition with liveness detection, fingerprint, RFID or IC card, PIN, two-person authorisation, and role-based permissions.

Selective drawer access

Rather than opening the complete cabinet, the software can release only the authorised drawer associated with the selected medicine or transaction.

Integrated monitoring camera

The camera assembly can support identity verification, drawer-opening recording and continuous cabinet-area monitoring.

Tamper and security events

The platform may be configured to record or alert for forced access, repeated authentication failure, drawer left open, unexpected stock removal, cabinet movement or vibration, network disconnection, and power interruption.
