RFID vs barcode vs BLE for healthcare tracking

1. Barcode

2. Passive RFID
Supports non-line-of-sight and bulk reads. Performance depends on frequency, tag, metal, liquid, reader placement and software filtering.
3. BLE
Battery-powered beacons can support room- or zone-level location using gateways. Accuracy, update frequency and battery life are design trade-offs.
4. Hybrid architecture
Hospitals may use barcode for commodity items, passive RFID for cabinets and chokepoints, and BLE for mobile asset location while maintaining a shared identity model.

Include tags, readers, gateways, batteries, installation, calibration, integration, support and workflow labour. Test real items and locations.
