Rife RSL – Split Saddle Stool with Castors
Two-piece anatomical split saddle with pneumatic height adjustment and chrome castor base — engineered for high-mobility clinical, dental and laboratory environments.
What makes the RSL different
The RSL features a two-piece split saddle seat — two independent cushioned halves angled inward — rather than a single contoured saddle. This geometry opens the hip angle, tilts the pelvis forward naturally, and reduces inner-thigh compression during prolonged seated work. The backless design leaves the upper body completely free for rotation and close-access reach.
Five dual-wheel castors on the polished chrome star base allow effortless rolling across clinical flooring without lifting or repositioning the stool.

Frequently asked questions
What is a split saddle seat?
A split saddle divides the seat into two independent halves. Each half supports one side of the pelvis independently, reducing pressure on the perineal area and encouraging a forward pelvic tilt that keeps the lumbar spine in a more neutral curve.
Can I use the RSL on carpet?
The RSL is designed for hard and semi-hard clinical flooring. On carpet, mobility may be reduced. Contact us to discuss castor options.
Does the RSL have a back or armrests?
No. The RSL is a backless, armrest-free stool. The absence of a backrest is intentional — it maximises upper-body freedom and encourages active postural engagement.
Need pricing or project quantities?
