Where this locker fits inside a hospital
Hospitals do not need another electronic cabinet simply because it has a touchscreen. They need a controlled workflow that places the right item, asset or service at the point of use while preserving identity, accountability and administrator visibility. This model is positioned around the following hospital applications.
This use case can be configured around department policy, user permissions and transaction volume.

How the workflow operates
The Rife approach starts with the transaction rather than the steel cabinet. Each project can use the authentication and sensing method appropriate to the hospital, while the software records the event and gives administrators a single operational view.
Designed as part of a Smart Hospital system
The hardware can be engineered as a single cabinet, a large locker bank or a primary controller with expansion cabinets. Depending on the application, the solution can add item identification, charging, monitored storage, interlocked doors or return bays. The software layer turns those components into a managed clinical or operational workflow.
Staff ID, RFID/NFC, PIN, OTP, QR and project-specific integrations.
Role, department, time window, entitlement, approval and compartment assignment.
User, door, asset or item, issue/return, exception, inventory and service history.
API-ready connection to approved HIS/HMS, HR, ERP, pharmacy, IT or asset systems.
Administrator visibility and control
View available, occupied, open, exception, service or application-specific states.
Associate access with a named user, department or patient transaction according to the application.
Create workflow-specific alerts for overdue assets, uncollected parcels, low stock, door events or monitored-condition exceptions.
Export transaction history and connect approved upstream systems when required.
Planning and engineering notes
Garment identification, clean/soiled segregation, return workflow, replenishment responsibility and infection-control cleaning procedures should be defined with the hospital linen and infection-control teams.
Final construction, electronics, sensing method, environmental performance and integration scope should be defined against hospital SOPs and the exact project requirement before commercial specification.
